Cookies in plain terms
This page explains how Orozino review portal uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. It helps the site remember your preferences and recognise you on return visits. Some cookies are essential for the site to function; others help us understand how visitors use our pages or enable third-party services we've embedded.
We set cookies ourselves, and third-party scripts – analytics providers, advertising networks – may set their own. Below you'll find what is stored, for how long, and what happens if you decline them.
What is stored and for how long
Necessary cookies keep the portal working. They remember that you've accepted our cookie banner, maintain session state while you browse, and ensure pages load correctly. These expire when you close your browser or after a short period – typically 24 hours to a few days. Without them, parts of the site may not function.
Analytics cookies tell us which pages are visited most often, how long readers stay, and where traffic comes from. They do not identify you personally – the data is aggregated. We use this information to improve the site's layout and content. Analytics cookies typically last 13 months or until you clear your browser storage. You can decline these without affecting your ability to read the portal.
Preference cookies store choices you make – language selection, layout options – so you don't need to set them again on every visit. They remain for several months and are entirely optional.
| Category | Purpose | Duration | Required |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Session management, consent state | Session or 24 hours | Yes |
| Analytics | Traffic analysis, page performance | Up to 13 months | No |
| Preference | Language, layout choices | Several months | No |
Embedded third parties
Some content on this portal comes from external services. When we embed a video, a social-media widget, or an advertising banner, that third party may place its own cookies on your device. We do not control those cookies – they are governed by the third party's own privacy policy. Common examples include analytics platforms and advertising networks.
Third-party cookies are used for audience measurement, personalised advertising, and cross-site tracking. If you accept them, your activity on this site may be linked to activity elsewhere. If you decline, embedded content may still appear, but tracking will be blocked where technically possible.
Declining without breaking the site
You can manage cookies in two ways: through your browser settings or by adjusting preferences in the consent banner that appears when you first visit the portal. Most modern browsers let you block or delete cookies entirely. Here's how to do it in the main ones:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. Choose "Block third-party cookies" or "Block all cookies". The second option may prevent some sites from working correctly.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. Select "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" or use strict tracking protection.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Block all cookies, or tick "Prevent cross-site tracking" to limit third parties without affecting first-party cookies.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies. Choose "Block third-party cookies" or clear stored data manually.
Blocking all cookies will disable preference storage and may require you to accept the consent banner on every visit. Blocking third-party cookies alone leaves the site fully functional while reducing tracking.
Good to know: clearing cookies logs you out of any account you're signed into on other sites. It does not affect cookies set after the clearing operation.
Updates
This policy may change as we add features or as regulations evolve. The date at the end of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes – new cookie categories, additional third parties – will be announced through the consent banner or a notice on the homepage.
Questions about this policy or anything else related to this portal can be sent to [email protected]. We aim to respond within 48 hours.
